Drew Estate - Lost Art Ashtray Series

The Moon -

Drew Estate's 'Lost Art' ashtray line is pretty cool.  I've got the Moon one - I picked it up at an event at Cross Street Tobacco in Baltimore.  The other art choices were nice as well.  One was an enlarged old-school cigar band that read "Habano".  Another was a painting of an angelic-looking woman, with a style of the early 1900's.  All of them have a retro-look, which recalls the rich history of cigar culture.  Drew Estate may be the re-birth of cigars, but they respect the past and pay homage through pieces like this ash tray series.

I love this ashtray and its found a permanent place at the end of my patio chair's left arm rest.  It's large enough to accomadate two or three smokers at once, but small enough so that you keep it clean and empty.  Something I recommend anyways to show off this piece.

Quick Analysis
JdN is a great brand with a lot of value you in their lines.  It is no wonder Drew Estate now distributes them, and I feel the brand fits well in Drew Estate's brand line-up. 

The Antano Dark Corojo Peligroso is the smallest size in the series weighing in at 5" X 44 ring - a great size for my preferences. 

The Dark Corojo is basically the Antano 1970 (click for review) with a dark corojo wrapper - shocker!  I love the original Antano line so I was excited when they introduced the DC a while back.  If you check out my reviews of the original Antano 1970 (there are 2 for 2 sizes) mind you that the Peligroso is a much smaller cigar than the two smoked in those reviews.  The wrapper to filler ratio difference really throws a wrench in the mix on trying to compare the lines through my reviews.

Liga Privada - Dirty Rat

Liga Privada - Dirty Rat - HOOOOO-F'IN  RAY!!!! That is what I said and how I felt when I saw a Dirty Rat on the shelf at my favorite Cigar Shop.  I'm a huge Liga Privada fan and have been waiting to get my hands on one of these for months.  The No. 9, The T-52, The Flying Pig have all been winners in my book.  So, while I enter this smoke and review a tad biased, I also enter it with high expectations.  I guess that balances things out.
